How Information Is Used

Provide Educational Psychology services (e.g. consultation, assessment, reports)
Deliver professional supervision
Communicate with families, schools, and professionals
Information is not used for marketing purposes without consent.

Personal data is processed in line with UK GDPR under:
Contract (to deliver agreed services)
Legitimate interests (to provide effective professional support)
Legal obligations (e.g. safeguarding)

Confidentiality
All information is treated as confidential.
However, information may be shared if:
There are safeguarding concerns
There is a risk of harm
There is a legal requirement to do so
Where possible, this will be discussed with you.
How Information Is Stored
Information is stored securely using password-protected and encrypted systems. Reasonable steps are taken to prevent unauthorised access.
Record Keeping
Final reports and key records are retained for a limited period (typically 6–7 years)
Raw notes, draft reports, and assessment materials are routinely deleted once a report has been completed
Supervision notes are not routinely retained by the supervisor
Sharing Information
Information may be shared with relevant professionals (e.g. schools or local authorities) where appropriate and necessary.
Information is never shared for commercial purposes.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
Request access to your personal data
Request correction of inaccurate factual information
Request deletion of data where appropriate
Object to or restrict processing
Please note that requests to amend information apply to factual inaccuracies only and do not extend to professional opinions, assessments, or reports.
